Super Bowl Party Snacks

By Rhonda 2 Comments

Super Bowl party snacks are both delicious and dangerous! Despite the fact that most party snacks are not healthy, there are some healthy snack options! There are a lot of super bowl party snacks and drinks consumed throughout the party starting with the pre-game show to the post-game show! Despite the fact that most of the super bowl party snacks are not healthy, does not mean that you can’t enjoy healthy snack food options during the game! If fact over the years the health food industry has evolved tremendously and a host of delicious snack options are now available! So, this year, make your super bowl party even more exciting by adding some healthy super bowl party snacks for you and your guests. And, if you aren’t hosting a party this year, make sure you pack your favorite healthy snacks and drinks and take them with you! I guarantee that others will love them too!

In this video, Rhonda talks about some healthy super bowl party snacks that she recommends, which includes the following:

  • Baked blue or yellow corn tortilla chips (brands such as Late July, Food Should Taste Good, Garden of Eatin’, Trader Joe’s, etc.)
  • Air-popped Popcorn chips (“Chip’ins” by Indiana Popcorn, “PopCorners” by Medora Snacks, etc.)
  • Regular bagged popcorn (there are several brands who pop the kernels in sunflower or olive oil–go for those, read the labels and eat about 3 cups; or just pop it yourself!)
  • Bean chips (i.e. Beanfield or Beanitos)
  • Almond chips (i.e. Blue Diamond)
  • Authentic Salsa (without artificial ingredients)
  • Guacamole (brands such as Wholly guacamole are good options and available everywhere to save you some kitchen time!)
  • Hummus (brands such as Dr. Hummus, Sabra, etc. or make it!)
  • Vegetables (i.e. sugar snap peas, baby carrots, etc)
  • Chocolate–78% -88% vegan dark chocolate (brands such as Lindt, Theo Chocolates, Endangered Species, etc.; try to eat 2 to 4 squares!)
  • Fruit (Pineapple spears, mangos, tangerines/oranges, grapes are still delicious this time of the year!)
  • Drinks (i.e. water, juice, healthy bottled drinks–brands such as Izze, Virgil’s, Reed, etc.)

For Meat-lovers:

  • Baked Grass Fed/Organic Hamburger patties or meatballs (can find at many grocers)
  • “Oven-fried” or baked Organic Chicken wings (free range, vegetarian fed chicken)
  • Organic Beef/Chicken Hotdogs (brands likes Applegate Farms–their beef is grass-fed and the hotdogs/sausages are nitrite and antibiotic free!)
